Saw one of the winners of the show "Biggest Loser", who lost 214 pounds (went from 404 to about 195) has gained about half the weight back (he's back up to 310). Scary stuff. I'm coming to the conclusion that people like us need to behave like recovering addicts. During maintenance, you almost have to be as focused on your eating/exercising as you are during weight loss. You have to be vigilant about maintaining, you can't start to think "Hey, I'm thin, screw it" and eat whatever you want. You can certainly allow more indulgences than during weight loss, but you can never take your eye off the scale and the reprecussions of your actions.
